Pearl flutes are well known for their beautiful sound, as well as the high standard of craftsmanship and technical excellence of the manufacturing process. They are also reliable for their accuracy of pitch and good intonation.

Two innovative techniques which are standard on all Pearl flutes are the one piece core-bar and their pinless construction. The core-bar is part of the mechanism that runs down the length of the flute linking some of the keys. On Pearl flutes this mechanism is particularly reliable and comfortable to play. The removal of any protruding pins means no more snagged clothing, and the detrimental effects of perspiration and grease are minimised.

Every flute which Pearl produces can be expected to have good sound projection and a smooth key action.
